  IMG_5995.JPG - Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg, Virginia’s 90th Charter Night Anniversary celebration. Lynchburg is the 8th oldest Kiwanis Club in the Capital District receiving its charter January 15th, 1920, with 28 members. This was five years after Kiwanis was founded. The club’s business memberships included fire insurance agent, life insurance agent, two in retail automobiles, two clergy, two grain brokers, a railroad agent, a general physician, a financer, investments, a dentist, and a saving bank president among many other businesses. This was a cross section of the industries of Lynchburg.
