Capital District Kiwanis Hosts Kiwanis Annual Go To Church Day
by PLGs Marie and Wayne Quick, On-to-Church Sunday Chair Persons

When: Sunday, May 17, 2009
Where: The United States Naval Academy Chapel, Annapolis, Maryland

This will be a special service in recognition of the 2009 Baccalaureate graduation and the Featured Speaker will be Protestant Chaplain John Owen.

Kiwanians are encouraged to arrive at the Chapel no later then 9:30 A.M. for a group photograph and be seated in the chapel no later than 10:30 A.M. The chapel is currently under some renovation which reduces seating capacity and late arrivals may have to be seated in an overflow building across the street. It is therefore strongly recommended that Kiwanians be on time in order to sit with the group in the chapel.

A fellowship luncheon with Governor Tom Ganse will be held after the service. It will be held at the Loews Hotel, 126 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 and will start at 12:30 P.M. The cost of the luncheon will be $27. Cash payment can be made at the door, however to guarantee your brunch reservation you must RSVP Marie Quick, mariequick@strategies-thatwork.com no later than the close of business Monday, May 11 if you plan to attend. For further information please refer to the Capital District Kiwanis Web Site or email PLG Wayne Quick, wayne@strategies-thatwork.com.

*As a result of post 9/11/01 security parking is not allowed on the Naval Academy base unless you have the proper military credentials and special permits. However street parking is available at the gates. You will need a photo identification at the gate to come on the USNA grounds.

There are two entrance gates located on King George Avenue, the major thoroughfare. Gate three is the closest to the chapel which is located directly behind the gate. Guests using Gate one can expect a walk of approximately two blocks to the chapel.
