Boys and Girls Club Partners with Local Sponsors for "Parade of Trees"

The Boys and Girls Club of Oak Orchard/Riverdale has partnered with C&P Mobile Home Service and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Millsboro this year to sponsor a decorated tree at the Long Neck Grotto Pizza restaurant, as part of the annual Grotto Pizza "Parade of Trees". The Boys and Girls Club tree was donated by Carol Faucet of C&P Mobile Homes, and the Greater Millsboro Kiwanis Club helped to sponsor the entry fee. The Kiwanis Club also sponsors the K-Kids Club which meets at the local Boys and Girls Club, and the K-Kids helped with the decorations for the tree.

"We really appreciate all the help from our sponsors and friends, and we hope to raise funds to support our programs for local kids," said Millie Charnick, Executive Director of the Oak Orchard/Riverdale Boys and Girls Club. To make a donation, customers visiting Long Neck Grotto Pizza can look for the sponsored tree and put a donation in the box for that tree. Checks can be made payable to Boys and Girls Club. The National Boys and Girls Club will match the donations collected, and Grotto Pizza will award an additional $250 to the tree that collects the most donations.

Each sponsored tree keeps all the donations collected, along with the entry fee. Customers can see the Parade of Trees at Grotto Pizza through December 31, 2010. For more information on the Oak Orchard/Riverdale Boys and Girls Club programs or sponsored tree, call 302-945-2244.
