Gov. Tom's Message

We are well into the Kiwanis convention season. In a few days over fifty Capital District Kiwanians will leave for Geneva. It will be a crowded three or four days for attendees. There are multiple training opportunities each morning and then sessions each afternoon. The Friday afternoon session is the House of Delegates with the election of the International Officers and one-third of the Trustees. Additionally, there are several receptions/meals for the Eliminate Program, the International Foundation, etc...more

On June 25, the Kiwanis Club of Toano held a successful Food for Kids Sake Food Drive in front of Farm Fresh and collected approximately $3000 worth of food for St. Olaf's Food Pantry in Norge, VA.

Over 100 Dolls Made + Key Club and K-Kids Learned Service and Compassion

Albemarle High School Key Club Holds Initiation and Awards Ceremony

On May 25, 2011, just days preceding commencement, the leaders of the Albemarle High School Key Club held a new member initiation ceremony and awards night in the school's cafeteria. More than 200 Key Clubbers, their families and friends, school faculty, and an "interclub" consisting of four members of the sponsoring Kiwanis Club of Charlottesville enjoyed a fabulous pot luck meal prepared by the finest cooks in Albemarle County...more
