Berldene "Dean" Pickens

The Kiwanis Club of Parkville sends its most heartfelt sympathy to the family of our member Berldene "Dean" Pickens who passed away on April 15, 2011 at his home in Perry Hall. Dean has been a member of Parkville for 27 years holding every major office in the Club. Dean was also elected twice to Lt. Gov. of the 12th Division (from 1992-1993 and 1994 to 1995) also he was presented with the Hixon award. Dean is a former assistant superintendent in Baltimore County Public Schools. He received his doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Dean is survived by his wife Joan of 56 years, a son and three daughters, 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren
