Kiwanis Minute

• The first Kiwanis International Convention outside the United States and Canada was held in 1983 in Vienna, Austria
• The Kiwanis Magazine was first published in February of 1917.
• Delegates to the 1987 Kiwanis Convention, held in Washington DC, voted to remove the gender as  a qualification for membership. Kiwanis membership was open to both men and women.
• The Capital District Circle K will celebrate its 50th anniversary at its 2010 District Convention, held in Arlington, Va.
