Recently
the Capital District Board of Trustees voted to discontinue
the printed version of the Capital Builder. This decision
comes on the heels of a recent survey to which many club
members responded with some excellent arguments both
for and against doing away with the Capital Builder...By
the Bay Club Inducts Four New Members

Kiwanis By the Bay is
excited to have four new members already since October
1st! In this photo, new members, Leslie Williams, advisor
for the new K-Kids at Bryan Elementary School, Heather
Ashley, Chris Jacobson, President and Judy Pantelides,
Division 13 Lt. Governor, pose for a photo after their
induction. Julie Stanley, the new member who was inducted
the night of our officer installation October 2nd,
and Robin Welch, who will be inducted this week, are
the other two new members of the club. Chris Jacobson
was the sponsor for both Julie and Robin and has set
a great example both to the club and the division as
to how to bring in new members! The Lt. Governor recognized
three other Division 13 clubs who have inducted new
members into their club since October 1st. They include
Al Bryant, President of the Kiwanis Club of Hampton
whose wife, Sandy, joined as well as Linda Lucas and
Dr. Lois Miller who will be inducted this week; Jimmie
Williams, President of the Kiwanis Club of Warwick
whose club has two new members, Maggie Keator and Kristen Fetty; and Floyd Brown, President of the Kiwanis
Club of Old Point whose club inducted Janet Brooks
as their newest member.
