The Woodbridge (Va) Kiwanis Club's Terrific Kids & Bug Program
by Ken Stang

The Cub's Terrific Kids Program commenced the 2008 -2009 school year with its first delivery of 100 signed certificates to the Enterprise Elementary School for an upcoming presentation. Presently they have three schools that participate in this program: Kilby and Enterprise Elementary and Stuart M. Beville Middle School, all in eastern Prince William County, Virginia. Additionally, new certificates were recently purchased from D.E.P. printing in Woodbridge, VA; a long time contributor to our Peanut fund raising program; to continue the Terrific Kids Program. D.E.P. was able to produce the certificates at a cost saving compared to our last supplier of certificates who was out of state.

The Senior Citizens Center Thanksgiving Dinner Is Sponsored By The Woodbridge (Va) Kiwanis Club
by Al Knehans

As in previous years, the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club sponsored the Thanksgiving dinner for the Woodbridge Senior Citizens Center on Tuesday, November 18 at 12:00 PM. The meal consisted of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Over 125 senior citizens sang, danced, enjoyed themselves, and ate to their heart's content during this event. Also, as in previous years, the Woodbridge Middle School "Builders Club" made the center pieces for the tables. As usual, after the event finished, all the center pieces disappeared. I talked with one of the senior citizens as she was leaving and she stated the the center piece would be placed on her Thanksgiving table on November 25. Congratulations to the Builders Club and the Woodbridge Club for making this day a very memorable time for our senior citizens!! The Club members served the meal and had as much fun as the seniors did!!

The Woodbridge (Va) Kiwanis Club Also Sponsored The Senior Day Care Thanksgiving Dinner
by Ken Stang

The Woodbridge Kiwanis Club sponsored the Thanksgiving dinner for the Woodbridge Senior Day Care Program on Tuesday, November 25 at 12:00 PM. The meal was a traditional Thanksgiving dinner prepared by the Woodbridge Senior Center and transported to the Ferlazzo building for serving. About 50 to 60 people participated in this event. The Woodbrige Kiwanis Club has sponsored this event for a number of years. The Club took great pleasure in providing a healthy meal for the participants in the Senior Day Care Program and a family member.
