Kiwanis Club of Frederick

The Kiwanis Club of Frederick held a  ceremony on Feb. 15 for two new members.  Roy Taylor, center, and Sandy Mastrino, right, were received into membership.  9th Division Lt.Gov. Renee Mackey, left, was in attendance for the occasion and offered a few remarks to the club before the induction.  Sandy is a retired nurse from the Frederick Memorial Hospital and Roy, a retired government employee, is a small business operator in the Frederick area.


Adam Pohl, left, Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Frederick Keys Baseball team, and Jeff Wiggins, Director of Ticket Sales, Frederick Keys, were recent guests to the Kiwanis Club of Frederick.  They spoke to the club about the upcoming season and plans for a secondary Mascot and a lot of local attractions in 2011.  Adam spoke briefly on the Keys affiliation with the Baltimore Orioles which extends through 2014, several of the players expected this year and other plans for the coming year.  Kiwanian Bill Conley is with the guests.
