Ambasador Visits Mount Vernon Club

Ambassador Thomas Pickering, former Under Secretary for Political Affairs at the U.S. State Department, was the Guest Speaker on July 1 at the dinner meeting of the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club (MVKC) at the Mount Vernon Country Club. About 30 MVKC members and guests were treated to a global tour d'horizon of issues and possible steps toward solutions within an analytical framework he uses. The next dinner-speaker program of the MVKC will be on Wednesday, September 2, at which a representative of Capital Hospice will explain its services.
