Friday Salvation Army Lunch

The Kiwanis Club of Old Town, (Winchester,VA) has a year schedule of serving lunch at the local Salvation Army Shelter each Friday at noon. Members have signed up in advance several months ahead for this Community Service project. Promotes Flying of US Flag

The Kiwanis Club of Winchester (VA) is promoting the flying of a new United States Flag as a Community Service Project. When a worn/torn flag is reported, the Committee members make contact and sell or donate a new U. S. Flag to the resident and properly dispose of their old flag with The American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. the Committee purchases flags from a local supplier at a discount and has built up a good fund for future purchasing.
