Poquoson Kiwanis Club's Truckload of Toys. On Tuesday, December 13, at their weekly breakfast, the Kiwanis Club of Poquoson presented a "Truck Load of Toys" to the Poquoson Empty Stocking Fund. This is the eleventh year Kiwanis has participated in this worthwhile program, spearheaded by Frank and Madonna Kreiger and Tom and Carol Mann, all of Poquoson. The Northgate Kiwanis Club of Washington, DC helped prepare and feed 300 homeless residents of Washington, DC on Christmas Day, 2011. Here Kiwanis member Georgia J. Herron prepares sweet candied yams at Tifereth Israel Congregation, a partner for the feast. This year we served residents of three shelters: The Young Shelter, the Harriet Tubman Center, and Adams Place.
