Manassas Kiwanis Aids Needy Kids: Local group collects for school supply drive

Manassas, VA, 7 August 2010 - Mr. Don Evick presented Northern Virginia Family Service/SERVE with checks totaling $1,140.00 on behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Manassas Dinner Group who's members raised the money over the last few weeks. In addition to the checks, Mr. Evick also presented a collection school supplies gathered by the club's members.

"Helping children has always been the foundation of Kiwanis. After all the motto of Kiwanis International is 'Serving the children of the world'. Every child deserves to start school equipped for success and we're proud to have been able to help in this wonderful campaign." said Mr. Evick.
