Forest Park Key Club
by Alex Camacho

The Forest Park Key Club is comprised of a wonderful group of 150 hard working kids, one of the largest clubs ever. We work on a multitude of projects throughout the year, but our most complex, exciting, and successful project this year by far was our Christmas project. Our club "adopted" 10 families from our local homeless shelter to buy presents for. Among some of the presents requested were two bicycles and giant doll house. To buy these gifts and other rather expensive items we held a "Spaghetti Dinner," we sold tickets for $5 each, and with this money, we were able to purchase the gifts we needed. The rest of the gifts were donated by the generous members of our club and teachers throughout our school. Then came the fun part, after collecting all of our items we had a gift wrapping party! The turn out was awesome, so many people came to help and we were able to wrap all or gifts and drop them off at the shelter before the end of the business day!
