WILMINGTON KIWANIS HONORS POLICE, FIRE & EMS AWARD WINNERS FOR 2011 AT ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER AT THE HOTEL DuPONT. THIS IS REALLY GREAT TEAMWORK! All teams assisted each other in a December fire in Wilmington where Police determined and located 2 babies caught inside the flaming home. Fire fighters entered the burning, smoke filled 2 second floor on their stomachs in search of the exact locations of the children and brought them out unconscious but not breathing and began CPR. EMS took over the still unconscious children, continued CPR, administered oxygen brought them back to breathing and rushed them to separate hospitals where both survived and are now out of the hospitall after one monthl! Left to right: EMS Matthew H. Heiger, Fire Fighters Cornelius Skinner and Lt. Eric Haley, EMS Cpls Isaac Hankins and Robert Sullivan, and Police Patrolman Ahmard Reddick. Well done! The Wilmington Kiwanis recognizes and thanks you as the Best of 2011 !

Wilmington Kiwanis President, City Solicitor, John Sheridan (L) stands with club meeting speaker, 27 year City Treasurer and current Mayoral candidate, Andrew Sipinski after Mr Sipinski had detailed the functions of the Treasurer's department at a recent February club meeting.
