MidWinter Conference: Tired of The Same Old Thing? Have an Idea For Something New...

...for a workshop or exhibit at the upcoming Capital District Midwinter Conference to be held Feb 27 in Arlington, VA??

Rev. Carolyn S. Richar

I am currently seeking out presenters who have good news to share with your fellow Kiwanians. Has your club conducted a very successful - service project - membership drive - fundraiser? Are you skilled at photography, website design, publicity? Is there something new and different that your club is doing - that other clubs would benefit from learning? Do you have a great way to use humor, or sports, or other ideas on how to help a Kiwanis club become a tightly knit, high functioning group? If so, please apply to do a 50 minute workshop at the 2010 Midwinter conference. We are looking for new workshop topics - while we will still have the very necessary and wonderful old standbys to help train club officers and help improve both service and club operations! Your idea might just be the one that leaves everyone talking and excited after the conference is over!!

We are also looking for clubs and organizations to set up exhibits to help educate other clubs on new ideas or service opportunities. Each Kiwanis club or non-profit organization can exhibit for free! The exhibit should fit in a space no larger than 2' x 3' - if a larger size is needed, please note that on the application form.

Applications for both workshop presentations and exhibits can be found at the Capital District website: www.novakiwanis.org/midwinter. Please feel free to contact me with any questions - or to send in your applications - crichar@capitalhospice.org. I can be reached by phone at home: 703-425-1069. If you call during the day, just leave a message and I will call you back in the evening.

See you at the Midwinter Conference in February!!
