It's becoming a tradition for the last several years for members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City to visit the Lady Lakes Kiwanis Club in Florida while staying in The Villages. Pictured (L to R) are four local members with the Lady Lakes Kiwanis Club President: John Smith, Steve Rosen, Lady Lakes President Bill Kramp, Mary Lee Jansen, and Dave Landis as they shared time together at the weekly meeting.

The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson has begun holding monthly dinner meetings, in addition to its regular weekly breakfasts. The new meeting schedule is designed to attract new members from the community whose regular schedule does not permit a morning meeting, especially teachers and others whose workday begins before 8:30 a.m. The evening group gathers at Anna's Pizza, 464 Wythe Creek Road, at 65:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month.  So far the club has attracted 10 new members and many more are expected in the future.

(Above) Pictured is Atlantic General Hospital Outreach Provider, Judy Rafkin, R.N, on the right, being thanked by Kiwanis President, Dan Peletier, for speaking to the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City on March 31st at the Ocean Pines Community Center where the club meets weekly on Wednesdays at 8 AM. Her message was urgent and simple: If you ever had chicken pox, strongly consider getting vaccinated for the SHINGLES VIRUS. To avoid doing so could expose one to the distinct possibility of contracting the virus, especially if over 60 years of age, which has very painful and gruesome implications. Contact your doctor for information about your individual concerns. The message was very informative and timely for many of the Kiwanis members.

(Above) The Dulles Area Kiwanis Club sponsored a one-day model railroad show on March 27 at the Cascades Library in Potomac Falls, VA.  Members of the Prince William County Model Railroad Club created the displays of towns and villages.  The display operators from the Railroad Club provided historical information about railroad heritage, answered questions about the hobby and encouraged the younger audience members to find their inner train operator.  Over 240 members of the area community were able to enjoy the model railroad show.
