On Sat. April 17, Kiwanis Club of Reiserstown provided a paper shredder for 4 hours in order for anyone wanting to could bring their private papers and have them destroyed. This service was provided at no charge. This was the third annual paper shredding event provided the citizens of the Reisterstown, Owings Mills, Glyndon area. This was our most successful event to date.

(Above) The Kiwanis Clubs of Division 13 had another successful Kiwanis One Day Project. This is the second year that the clubs have worked together on a Division wide project for One Day. Almost 50 members from nine clubs gathered on April 10 at the Boys & Girls Club-Peninsula Unit to work on a variety of projects. We weeded, trimmed and mulched the front exterior of the building. We cleaned, primed and painted almost 200 cubbies. We also painted an entire gymnasium! Newport News Councilwoman, Madeline McMillan, stopped by during the morning to thank us for all of our hard work. We also had a picnic lunch after to celebrate our accomplishments. This particular Boys & Girls Club serves almost 1200 children per week and our clubs in Division 13 truly exemplified the One Day motto, "One more helping hand...one more life touched."

(Above) On April 10, 2020, members of the Kiwanis Club of LaPlata, LaPlata High School Key Club, Milton Somers Builders Club and various members of their families, joined forces to do some sprucing up and clean up work at Gilbert Run, a local park.  Flower beds were weeded & replanted with new plants, park signs were repainted & trash was picked up from the trail around the lake. As you can see, it was a beautiful day of sharing and caring and a great sense of accomplishment. After all the hard work, everyone enjoyed a picnic of hamburgers, hot dogs & cake.

David is the founder and current Director of Rainbow Puppets Productions. Rainbow Productions began in 1977 producing original children's musicals for libraries. These library shows later grew into huge musicals including a tour of "Babes in Toyland" featuring a cast of over 100 performers. We now provide educational puppet programs and workshops for schools, host an annual puppet festival, and present elaborate presentations in select theaters across the country. The theme of these shows is the teaching of the Golden Rule, cooperation, and conservation.

(Above) On Saturday, April 17, 2010, The Kiwanis Club of Reisterstown held its 3rd annual Paper Shredding Event in Reisterstown.  We held the event from 9:00am until 1:00pm.  We had a lot of people come and take advantage of shredding their important papers.  This is one more way the Kiwanis Club of Reisterstown gives back to the community.

(Above) Kiwanis of Middlesex and Matthews help clean up the Holly Point Nature Park.  Some members of the various Kiwanis school clubs joined us, for a half day of cleaning, and had an enjoyable lunch at the Pilot House.  This gave many members a chance to talk one on one with some of our students.

As their Kiwanis ONE Day service project, the group collected 621 pounds of peanut butter and jelly that was donated to The Colonial Heights Food Pantry. It was a fun afternoon and it felt great to help our community.

(Above) On April 24th the Poquoson Kiwanis Club of Poquoson teamed with Poquoson City Employees, Poquoson High School Key Club Members and local Boy Scouts to clean up Messick Park for Poquoson Pride Day. Volunteers picked up nearly a ton of trash and debris, spread mulch in the play area and leveled several low spots. In all 37 volunteers participated in this community effort. The Poquoson Kiwanis Club chose the Poquoson Pride Day to as their Kiwanis One Day. Each year in April, Kiwanians around the world join together for one day of global community service.
