Kiwanis One Day a Success for Oasis Social Ministry and the Churchland Kiwanis Club

April 4, 2009 was Kiwanis One Day, a day when Kiwanis Clubs worldwide joined with their Sponsored Leadership Programs, including Key Clubs, to perform a community service project. The Kiwanis Club of Churchland, along with our sponsored Key Clubs at StoneBridge School and Western Branch High School worked on Saturday at Oasis Social Ministry of Portsmouth and Chesapeake.

Six Kiwanians and eighteen Key Club members cleared and painted the Oasis Thrift Shop floor, made up food packages for senior citizens, cleaned and painted other spaces and enjoyed the fellowship of a pizza lunch.
