Creekside and Sacramento Neighborhood Center Teens Go to Hemlock Overlook Park

by Bruce Malkin

On April 9, 28 teenagers and 5 adult staff from the Creekside and Sacramento Neighborhood Centers enjoyed a full day of action activities at the GMU-owned Hemlock Overlook Park, where Outward Bound team-building challenges are the day's agenda. The teens successfully completed 6 difficult tasks that required them to plan team strategies ,work together to complete their tasks, and help one another succeed. The kids had a great time, laughing and urging one another on, until all of them succeeded in their group goals. This trip was made possible due to the sponsorship by the Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club.
