Town Center Kiwanis

The Town Center Kiwanis of Virginia Beach once again had a very busy month.

Our membership continues to grow and we installed two new members this month. We had some very inspirational speakers this month, among them Ms. Regina Marscheider of Spectrum Puppets. The group gives Children's Performance Workshops to help deal with and counteract child abuse. After hearing about this group our Board of Directors decided to make a donation to this worthy cause and add the group to our list of charities.

We also helped with a fundraiser at the Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant to benefit one of our sponsored charities, REACH, as they held a silent auction at the most recent beer tapping.

We are also a social group and members and their partners spent a social and golf weekend at the Nags Head Summer homes of our member Jerry Collier. This year we had great weather to add to our conviviality.

Our May 20th Golf Tournament is looking to be a success again this year. We hope to have 100 players and we already have great prizes and awards for participants.
